(Effective December 1, 2026)

All paid members are eligible to compete in the MASH Brewer of the Year (B.O.T.Y.) competition. At each monthly club meeting, a specific style of beer will be judged. Members collect B.O.T.Y. points as indicated below.

1. Points awarded for monthly MASH “Style of the Month” competitions will be allocated as follows:

• First Place – 5 points
• Second Place – 4 points
• Third Place – 3 points
• Entering a beer – 1 point.

2. Points awarded for Florida Circuit competitions will be allocated as follows:

• First Place – 5 points
• Second Place – 4 points
• Third Place – 3 points
• Best of Show – Additional 5 points

3. Points awarded for the National Homebrew Competition will be allocated as follows:

• First Place – 5 points
• Second Place – 4 points
• Third Place – 3 points
• Best of Show – Additional 10 points
• Points will be awarded for both First and Second Round of the competition.

UPDATE

• Effective 12/1/26, points earned for BJCP competitions outside the state of Florida will be segregated from the Florida Circuit.

• Points for outside competitions will be awarded as per the Florida Circuit (5/4/3/5)

• The winner of this category will have 10 points added to their BotY total for the year.
